That is all that is left until my due date! When I think in terms of 2 months or 8 weeks it just sounds too long. So I prefer to count the days!
The professional development class and conference went fine. Except for the fact that I wanted to go home every day. But I did learn a lot and I think I got a lot out of it. Also there was more interest in my poster than I (and especially my boss) expected!
The trip was a bit intense and three nights in a row I had way more contractions than I should have. They were only Braxton-Hicks of course (or as my husband calls them, Toni.Braxton-Taylor.Hicks) but I had far too many in too short a time. According to my doctors recommendations, technically I should have been making a trip to the ER. But I have learned that they mean to SLOW DOWN and/or DRINK MORE WATER. When I did both of those things they stopped quickly. My mom didn't like it though. But most importantly, I made it home and baby is still doing good, safe and sound inside like she should be. Oh, and I am so stiff and according to my chiro I undid weeks worth of progress on my neck! Not much I could have done about that.
I had hoped to blow off most of the day at the conference on Tuesday and do something touristy. Luckily it was the ONLY day that was remotely nice. Actually it was very nice so we walked to the cable car station and took the cable car to Ghirardelli.Square where we had delicious sundaes, took a few pictures, and went back. Just a quick trip but nice to have some fun and see some cool sights.
Well, I have more to update but I'll have to save it for another post. All in all, things are good even though I have officially crossed over to permanent discomfort. I know it will only get worse before it gets better but in about 54 days, God willing, it will all be totally worth it! I can't wait!

I giggled out loud when I read what you husband calls Braxton Hicks. That's something my husband would call them. He calls "snissing" "squpiss." Too funny

ReplyDeleteGlad your trip went well, hope you can rest up from the intense-ness!! :) I hope those BH stay away. It's hard sometimes to make sure you're getting enough fluids, sometimes I slip up and when I do I usually feel it. I haven't had BH yet(**knocking on wood**), but I do feel different when I haven't kept up with the fluids. 54 days!! Sooooo close!! Woo hoo!! :) You're almost there Mama!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're getting so close!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you had a good trip and that Baby Girl is doing well. You're right...the fluids make a huge difference. Drink up!
