Thank you all. I know she is fine and she will be fine. No matter what. I know we will be fine. I will find a job. We will probably move. Far. It will be a transition, but it will be fine.
Actually, I am sure it will be more than fine. It will be good. Right now, everything sucks and I hate it. But it will eventually be good again.
Last Monday, on Valentine's Day, Baby Girl started to crawl. It is the cutest crawling I have ever seen. She had been so determined. She knew exactly what she wanted to do, knew it was possible, just had to get the mechanics together. She made three crawling movements, or whatever you want to call it. By Friday she was zooming around like a bullet.
On Saturday she decided she wanted to stand. Same story. She knew what she wanted to do, just needed to make it happen. So today she did. She pulled herself up using the bottom stair and stood. I presume walking is next and as soon as I see her get the fire in her eyes to do it I know to give it about three days.
I think she will conquer the world, one milestone at a time.
Also today, first thing this morning, she said mama. She has been saying it all day. Her first word. I know she probably doesn't connect it with me yet but I don't care. It made me cry nonetheless.

And it makes me cry too! That must be such a beautiful sound and amazing sight! You are a wonderful Mama, and she'll soon make the connection. Hang in there and know I'm praying for you!
ReplyDeleteAww, how sweet! She is one busy little bee!!
ReplyDeleteI missed yesterday's post but I'm sorry you got such upsetting news. You sent my Google fingers a-Googling. LD has a vertical ridge on his forehead too. We've noticed it, dicussed it, and figured it was just his head shape. Hoping you get reassuring news from the specialist and everything is a-OK.
ReplyDeleteYay for crawling and standing!! Sounds like she's doing great!! And how awesome for first word being Mama!! It must have melted your heart!!
awwww...what progress in one week. She's on the move now. Nothing will ever be the same!
ReplyDeleteyay baby girl!! and yay for your positive attitude :)
ReplyDeleteIt is incredible how quickly they grow up. Now that she is crawling, she will be into the pots and pans. Seriously cute.
