This is the first ICLW I have done in a long time! I was feeling kind of weird about it since I have been pregnant and some months I have just felt too tired to commit to the commenting. I think I have waned in readership (and certainly comments) since I have been pregnant, which I totally understand. But I thought I could use this opportunity to maybe connect with other expectant moms and first-time moms from the IF community!
So allow me to tell you about myself! I am currently a little over 27 weeks pregnant with our first baby - a little girl! We are, of course, very excited to become parents in about 3 months. Prior to getting pregnant, we had been not preventing pregnancy for 3 years and were actively trying for 1 year (there was also a short period of active trying earlier). I have PCOS and rarely, if ever, ovulate on my own. Our baby was conceived using Clomid. We also lost an early pregnancy last March, which made it very difficult for me to feel comfortable with this one until we reached viability. Phew, we are there and still going strong!
I am preparing to exit my 20's (the day after ICLW ends - yikes!) and think 30 coincides nicely with beginning a whole new chapter in our lives. I am a research scientist at a small biotech company and love my job! And thank goodness too, after 4 years in college, 5 years in grad school, and 1 year at a job I hated!
I have been married for almost 7 years to my great husband! Hubby is also 30 and is an elementary school teacher. He is great at his job and I am very proud of him for it. It has been a big year for us as we also recently bought a house. In fact, we found out about the baby the day after we signed the papers! We also have two Boston Terriers that provide us with comic relief and lots of slobbery kisses. But shhhh... they don't know about the b-a-b-y yet. I don't think they're going to like it!
That kind of sums us up. We have been busy lately preparing for baby and contemplating the end of life as we know it! I am excited to meet some new blogs so welcome and please leave me a comment!

Congrats on your pregnancy and reaching viability. That is such a relief after you've been through a loss.

Congrats on your little girl! I know that walking on eggshells feeling... I'm just over 8 weeks pregnant (third pregnancy, first time seeing a heartbeat) and right now, I'm focussed on getting through the first trimester. Then it will be viability...
