Four Weeks

Hello all. I know it has been a while since I blogged. Baby Girl is four weeks old today and has been keeping us busy! For the last week and a half or so she has been very fussy. Ok, that is an understatement. She screamed at us off and on all day for a few days. All of a sudden our easy going quiet baby was gone. We suspected gas or tummy issues (even though my baby info book SWEARS to me that it's not gas). First we tried gas drops which helped a tiny bit and now we are using Gripe.Water which has made a huge difference. Screaming incidents have reduced to about twice a day for 10 minutes or less. Totally manageable! Hopefully when we go to the pediatrician tomorrow she will tell us this approach is ok!

Other than that issue things are going pretty well. Today is hubby's first day back at work. It didn't start off too well. I got less sleep last night than I have in weeks and I found out that hubby didn't follow our agreement which was to give Baby Girl gripe.water after every other feeding. So I woke up to hubby getting ready to leave me with a screaming baby. Luckily she calmed down and snoozed with me on the couch until the next feeding and now she is napping again. Thank goodness!

I was never able to post pics of the nursery because we weren't quite done when she decided to make her appearance! So without further ado, here are some pics of the nursery. I was worried about the stripes being too circus-y but I really like how it turned out! And my mom painted the animal picture hanging on the wall!

  4. Adorable!! I love the nursery it's fabulous!! Your little girl is beautiful too!! Glad to hear you found a solution that works for you regarding the fussiness. I hope the pedi is ok with gripe water, if it works to calm her I can't see how it could be a bad idea. Take care!!

  5. It is so hard when they are fussy like that. It rattles you to your very core and all you want to do is help them calm down. :( I hope the fussiness ends soon.

I LOVE looking at nursery pictures. It is so much fun knowing that a new little person now lives in that room, and it was designed especially for them with so much love and tenderness. Your nursery is adorable. I love the picture your mom painted. She is very talented.
